The moment that a fair number of our Trump-supporting conservative readers have been waiting for has finally arrived, as The Associated Press just reported that Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke will be joining the administration of President Donald Trump in the very near future.
Sheriff Clarke, who ran for office as a Democrat, has been embraced by a large portion of the conservative movement over the years due to his stark opposition to former President Barack Obama, his harsh critiques of the race-baiting, anti-cop Black Lives Matter movement, and his staunch support of the Second Amendment.
The Washington Free Beacon reported that Clarke announced that he would be serving in the Trump administration as an assistant secretary in the Department of Homeland Security, specifically to work in the Office of Partnership and Engagement as a sort of liaison between DHS and state, local and tribal law enforcement agencies.
The announcement came during an interview on Wisconsin’s WISN-AM with talk radio host Vicki McKenna, part of which can be heard here:
